WHAT'S HAPPENING IN ATLANTA IN JULY
Here is a our guide to living in Atlanta in July. This month is literally abuzz with events, music, and more. Check out what's on our radar. This is a work in progress...so don't fret, we are still adding events by the hour:)
Month of Music
Speaking of music, this month has an incredible mix of performances and concerts in the city. Starting the post-Fourth weekend is Rob Thomas at Chastain Amphitheater. 7/9/, Wiz Khalifa takes the stage for The Decent Exposure Tour at Cellariis Ampitheatre at Lakewood. On July 10, Train with Goo Goo Dolls starts their performance at 7pm at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre. And back to the 80s, we go on July 11, as New Kids on The Block: he MixtapeTour is finally here and will be at the State Farm Arena. The band is playing live in Atlanta as one of their stops on the 53-city tour. The tour also includes hit 80's artists Salt-N-Pepa, Debbie Gibson, and more. Visit their website for more details and ticket information. July 16, Mary J Blige will delight a crowd of fans at Chastain. July 22, J-Lo, yes the Jennifer Lopez will awe fans at the State Farm Arena. The following night on 7/23, catch Dave Matthews Band. The month ends on 7/31 with a high note from the sure-to-be-amazing concert by Lionel Richie at Chastain.

7/12-14: Atlanta Comic Con 2019 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Tickets available here
7/12: Pancake and Booze Art Show celebrates its 10th year with pancakes and the nations top emerging artists. At Georgia Freight Depot. Expect, pancakes, booze, body painting, and live music. Click here for more info and tickets.
7/13 Get Active at The Atlanta Field Day at Historic Old Fourth Ward. Recess only gets better with age. Expect a day filled with fun and competitive games like tug-o-war, obstacle courses and more. Sign up for your teams before here.
7/14: Chef-owner Ford Fry's Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival returns for its 11th year on Sunday from 1-5 p.m
7/14: Shop until you drop at the Shops of Buckhead Block Party. From 3pm- 6pm. From a gift with purchase at Abbey Glass and a complimentary Capri Limoncello cocktail and summer macarons at Tod's to complimentary Biltong Popcorn at Biltong Bar and $7 Old Fashioneds from The Southern Gentleman, The Shops' Summer Block Party is the perfect gathering to enjoy summertime with family and friends. 7/14: Go under the sea with The Little Mermaid as The Coca-Cola Summer Series kicks off at the Fox Theatre with the 30th Anniversary and sing-along of this Disney classic. As in previous years, the Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival will showcase films on its impressive 26-by-56-foot screen. Patrons will enjoy movies under the Fox Theatre’s distinctive blue sky with twinkling stars and fluffy clouds.
7/15: The hyper-local food festival is here for another year at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The AgLanta Fest, taking place on Monday evening, will feature a variety of tastings prepared by top, local chefs utilizing the freshest ingredients from AgLanta growers and metro Atlanta farms. Tickets and info here. Attendees will have access to the Atlanta Botanical Garden while enjoying farm fresh food, a selection of beverages, live music, garden tours, and a silent auction. This event is open to all ages, so be sure to bring your friends and family together for an unforgettable evening!
7/20-7/29: Tennis fans its that time again...The BB&T Atlanta Open starts at Atlantic Station. www.bbtatlantaopen.com
7/21: The juicy and anticipated PeachFest takes place on this Sunday at Peachtree Center. Celebrate the juicy Peach all day and indulge on some of the best concoctions around. More than 70 food artisans, pastry chefs, barkeeps and sponsors fill the belly with inventive takes on peach-infused dishes and drink. peachfest.org
7/27: 8th Annual Ice Cream Fest at the Meadows at Piedmont Park. Get your ice cream fix for the summer here and get your fair share of delicious ice cream, gelato, activities and more.
