With the weather warm and in the midst of the dog days of summer, get Fido out of the house at our favorite Atlanta dog-centric and dog-friendly spots. If we missed some of your favorites, be sure to let us know.
Patios with your Pooch
Some of our favorite spots to eat or grab a beer are pup-friendly. Grab a burger at Grindhouse Killer Burger and let your dog mingle on the patio and drink from the bowls of fresh water they replenish regularly. Park Tavern is the ultimate spot for you and your four-legged pal to plop down after a nice run in Piedmont Park. Lucky's Burger & Brew, with four locations, was inspired by the owner's Lab Lucky. The Brookhaven location is the perfect patio for people watching and grabbing a burger and beer with friends.
Have you ever seen a dog, or anything for that matter, more ready to take on Monday than Instagram fan @pippaofpiedmont?...
Dog Park-A -Palooza
What are the best dog parks for your pooch? Of course, Piedmont Dog Park is the most well-known dog parks in the heart of Midtown and it has two separate enclosures where your dog can be wild and run free. Small dogs and large dogs are separated. New trails and landscaping additions have been added and there are water spickets around for your thirsty fur baby. At Freedom Barkway, located in the heart of Old Fourth Ward, small and large dogs have their own play areas spread out over the 2-acre green space. A little South is South Bend Dog Park where shaded areas are perfect for those Atlanta summer days, kiddie pools are great for your pup to play and dog and human water fountains.
